Joan Hug-Valeriote Joins a National Quilt Exhibition

Touring Canada in 2026 and 2027

Joan Hug-Valeriote’s quilt Permafrost has been accepted into the Grand National Quilt Exhibition, Textures of Canada.

The exhibition is touring Canada, bringing together quilts inspired by the textures, landscapes, stories, and experiences of the country.

Southampton Museum, January 2027

The Ontario presentation of Textures of Canada will be at the Southampton Museum in January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to see Joan’s Permafrost as part of a national exhibition celebrating Canadian quilt artistry.
