Switzerland and in France, April-June 2022

By virtue of her Swiss nationality (by marriage) and her affiliation with La Suisse-Romande (French-speaking Switzerland), Joan is a member of the Swiss delegation of France Patchwork, the French national guild of textile artists that includes quilters.

Permafrost #1 was accepted in this collection for exhibition in two venues in 2022.

« Le 9e Biennale Internationale d’Art Textile », in Beaujolais, France, from June 8th to 11th, 2022.

Permafrost #1 is the first in a series of three, depicting the effects of the melting permafrost in the north, effectively turning the lives of the inhabitants upside-down.
